Taking cues from the safety vests worn by every little kids hero, our Waste Management workers, we integrated 3M Reflective Piping and our DuraLink Mesh to give this a worker or crowd friendly, high-vis and breathable fit. 

Inspired by the 1980s racing scene and style, we didn’t cut any corners when building these hats. Long before it touched a hat, Hickory Denim was standard issue on the rails. Worn by railroad engineers, brakemen, and conductors who needed a fabric tough enough to survive a shift shoveling coal and still hold up the next day. As the rails gave way to garages, farms, and factory floors, mechanics and tradesmen adopted the same tightly woven fabric for the same reason. It worked. The MILL Union Collection carries that same spirit forward, pairing Hickory Denim with Duck Canvas, a material built with the same tightly woven toughness, and a Double-D Ring Closure, one of the most trusted closures in workwear for how easily it adjusts without ever losing its hold.

Originating in the 1500s, Chambray fabric became popular in American workwear in the 1900s due to its breathability while still being extremely durable. Often mistaken for denim, the fabric is crafted by weaving together a mixture of both colored and white threads to create a textured appearance that is both stylish and relaxed. The vintage uniforms of American workwear that inspired us were often accompanied by Felt accents, either in the form of patches and badges or as protective layers. 

Every Vision starts with a block and an idea. The design is cut by hand, line by line, with a carving tool. There’s no undoing a stroke, no reset button in this process. Each groove is an intentional decision, and the pattern only fully reveals itself once the block is complete. To bring the Vision to life, we sourced a material from a storied, family-run Italian mill. That fabric is Italian Seersucker, a puckered, two-texture weave that has been refined for centuries into a warm-weather staple.
